From a Different Point of View - Will Johnson Interview at PortlandTimbers.com

There is an interesting interview with Will Johnson up over at the Portland Timbers website.

He talks about choosing to move to Portland from Salt Lake, Caleb Porter, his experiences in the game, and his on-field persona. But one line sticks out, like a thorn – if you will:

“I’ve lost games in humiliating fashion as well”.

Canadians will know exactly what he means.

Johnson was not named as a member of the recent squad to take part in a training camp and two friendlies – versus Denmark and the USA - over the next week. Presumably his absence was a nod to his situation, both in a new city with a new club and, more importantly, a new daughter at home.

He’ll be back in the mix soon enough.

  1. Nope, no idea. I remember him and some other guys in red playing a few games last year, they beat Cuba, then nothing else happened at all.

  2. Yeah, it's all a little fuzzy and sore.

Don't worry, there will be a piece in the coming days that will remind us all of what happened.
